“Drones: You’ve come a long way baby!”

It is 2022, and don’t you think it’s time to have your own personal aircraft that you can ride in, fly, and park right in your own garage? Having a personal aircraft has long been a fantasy for many, the subject of many a science fiction. Now you don’t have to dream about it; you can easily have it.

Doroni Aerospace, Inc., a pre-revenue company and a winner of the 2021 Aerospace Innovation Tech Forum, and whose mission is to “transform intra city transportation, improving the way we work, play and live,”  has come up with a safe and affordable Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing aircraft (eVTOL) to turn that fantasy into a reality.

More than that, it envisions a future that utilizes a safe, practical, inexpensive and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional automobile transportation through its personal flying vehicle. In order to attain its vision, the company engages with the aviation industry, academia, the military, regulatory agencies as well as their prospective civilian and commercial customers.

Yes, you read that right. It is a dream come true you can easily have starting at a minimum amount of $250 investment. The Doroni H1, as the personal flying car is named, is being crowdfunded on StartEngine, a capital market company. The product is in its development stage and will be launched in 2024.

Since its crowdfunding campaign started in December last year, Doroni already raised more than $359K and there are five more months to go for you to make up your mind and invest.

What is so special about the Doroni H1 aircraft? Here are some of its great features:

  • Built on proven drone technology
  • Range of 60 miles, a cruising speed of 100 mph, and a max speed of 140 mph
  • Up to 500-pound capacity
  • Can be pilot-flown or remotely controlled
  • Vertical takeoff and smooth transition to forward flight
  • Safety features, such as emergency landing protocols, energy dissipating body, multiple redundancies, air bag and ballistic parachute, multiple anti-collision sensors

The Droneologist feels that the Doroni H1 is a game-changer in the field of air/space travel. From the time the world witnessed its first lift-off courtesy of the Wright Brothers’ Kitty Hawk on December 17, 1903, to the launching of the Space Shuttle in 1981, to the more recent Tesla’s rentable rocket, never has there been a flying vehicle that is so practical, easy-to-use because it is designed for even the ordinary person.

True, the three mentioned forms of air/space flight were way ahead of their times. So it is with the Doroni H1 — Even with the popularity of autonomous cars, there is an urgent need to revolutionize our wheels-based forms of transportation because of the increasing congestion in urban environments.

As for consumer drones and drone technology, the market keeps growing. From primarily aimed as recreational tools, consumer drones are now becoming a mode of transportation. […]clean, effective and quiet is the future of drones. Drones are rapidly evolving beyond capturing data into major transportation vehicles and carrying us into their future. – Read more here.
