Drone Technology as a Useful Tool in the Entertainment Field

Drones are indeed here to stay, in as much as their uses in various fields keep growing. One of the many fields that have found drones to be useful is the live entertainment industry.

At the beginning of the year, an article noted that drones were being used more directly to entertain. Such was Walmart’s Christmas lights show, which utilized more than 1000 drones.

The use of drones through this emerging technology is also making waves in the advertising field, according to the above source.

Walmart, with its brilliant holiday drone display must have hit the proverbial two birds with one stone, and at the same time, helped bring more cheer to ease the gloom of the past months.

“After a particularly tough year, we want to help families end the year looking up. We want customers and communities to enjoy a moment of rest, peace and hope,” William White, chief marketing officer at Walmart, said. “From our summer movie drive-in to our fall gameday and Halloween experiences, we’ve been finding ways to help families enjoy seasonal traditions in a year when they thought it might not be possible.” – Read more.
